Schools
Working with Lucas Vale Primary School on the rebranding of the school to be eco-friendly by adding composting into the curriculum into KS2 and KS4, designing and building on-site composting stations from the canteen’s food “waste”, and offering staff and student training to maintain and manage the new systems.
Collaborating with different departments and courses across the university to embed composting into the creative curriculum through a roof-top composting facility.
As part of Earth Week, Compost Collective hosted two-days of workshops teaching students, staff, and alumni on the importance of soil health and sustainability.
We work hand-in-hand with schools to create bespoke solutions that cater to all your different needs. Whether you want new engaging workshops for your students, want to update your curriculum to include sustainability and climate change, or simply want that competitive edge against other schools by reducing your on-site emissions, we can help get you started.
We have worked across primary and secondary schools through to Universities. Take a look at some of our current partners below and check out what the Eco-Team at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School had to say about our workshops!
At Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School we hosted two workshops with the school’s Eco-Team working with a range of different age groups. By giving the Eco-Team the knowledge and skills around composting, the students have been given the autonomy to skill-share with fellow class-mates and keep passing along the knowledge.
Student Workshops
Working directly with students to educate on the importance of soil health and composting. We offer exciting hands-on workshops where the students go home with their own vermicomposting bins to look after.
Operational Support
Turning your canteen’s food “waste” into eco-gold with minimal operational disruption through bespoke waste-management systems. We design and build circular composting stations that are tailored to the space, with the addition of staff training to manage the facilities.
Currirculum Development
Composting and making sustainable changes in your life is easy and accessible once you know how! Learning young builds the skills and knowledge that you can sustain throughout your life.
